CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
The 33rd Biennial Conference of the Ghana Science Association (GSA) will be held in collaboration with other stakeholders as follows:

Mode Hybrid (In-Person and Virtual)
PLENARY SESSION
The following topics will feature during the plenary sessions:
Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Systems.
Climate Change, Green Energy, and Environment.
Climate Change, One health and Pandemic Preparedness.
National STI Policy on Climate Change and National Development.
SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS
Scientific sessions will run concurrently in the following groupings:
Physical and Computational Sciences
Biological, Medical and Veterinary Sciences
Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
Technological and Engineering Sciences
Poster Presentations
Those wishing to participate in the Conference are requested to indicate so by completing an online Registration form via https://www.ghanascience.gov.gh/33rd-biennial-conference-registration-and-abstract-submission-form/ and pay the appropriate fees.
Participants wishing to present abstracts are kindly requested to submit same via the internet link below:
https://www.ghanascience.gov.gh/33rd-biennial-conference-registration-and-abstract-submission-form/. Please indicate your preference, either oral or poster presentation.
Please Note that late Abstracts will NOT be accepted after July 14th 2023. All abstracts which fall in-line with the conference theme shall be given the first opportunity for oral presentation. In addition, other unrelated conference theme abstracts, submitted early enough shall also have oral presentation opportunity on first come first served basis. All other accepted abstracts that may not have oral presentation opportunity will be presented by poster.
Payment of conference registration fee as stated above, made not later than after July 14th 2023,would guarantee one’s accepted abstract(s) for both oral and poster presentation to be published in the book of abstracts.
Full texts for papers can be submitted before or after the Conference. (Note: Accepted conference papers will be refereed and published in the Journal of the Ghana Science Association). Authors should strictly conform to guidelines contained in the accompanying instructions to authors.
OUTCOMES
- At the end of this conference, it is expected that;
- A released communique to government/policy makers and the general public containing actionable points
- Increased awareness and research outputs (conference proceedings/scientific papers, products developed etc.) to propose solutions that can mitigate the negative impacts of climate change.
- Improved network and collaboration among stakeholders (scientists, researchers, media, industry players and government) for the common good.
- Recognition and motivation of various contributors to ultimately boost scientific research in the country.
- Increased mentorship and training for young/future scientists/researchers.
