WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
The 18th Biennial Workshop of the Ghana Science Association was held in collaboration with stakeholders on Wednesday, 12th October 2022.
The theme for the workshop is
“Achieving Ghana Beyond Aid: Positioning TVET to Drive Ghana’s Industrialization in a Post COVID-19 Era”
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
- Awareness created on the critical role of TVET in the development of local industries.
- Opportunities for resourcing TVET to produce the requisite manpower for enhancing quality, capacity, and infrastructural development of local industries explored
- Well-functioning TVET systems to train the skilled workforce, which Ghana needs to address the socio-economic development challenges recommended.
- Relevant policy formulation and strategies for the adoption of TVET technologies for rapid industrialization, wealth creation, and poverty reduction are suggested.
- The role of TVET in achieving Ghana Beyond Aid identified and recommended.
