12th GSA Research Seminar & Poster Presentations

 

The Ghana Science Association (GSA) Kumasi Branch in collaboration with the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences (GAAS) and the College of Science (CoS), KNUST is organizing the Celebration of the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development (IYBSSD-2023) on 1st and 2nd and March, 2023.

Theme: “The Role of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development”.

The conference will be hybrid (in-person and virtual) and is open to both local and international participants.

Activities:

1. Keynote Presentations on:
   • Advances in Biology for Sustainable Development
   • Advances in Chemistry for Sustainable Development
   • Advances in Mathematics for Sustainable Development
   • Advances in Physics for Sustainable Development

Individual Experts/Teams interested in delivering each Keynote Presentation are to submit abstracts for consideration.

 

1. Young Scientists Competitions
   • Short video presentations – 3 min maximum
   • Electronic Poster

      Young Scientists are encouraged to submit short video and poster presentations on their scientific findings and innovations.

• Keynote speakers
• Abstracts from all scientists/researchers/students/stakeholders who are interested in presenting at this webinar
• Selected abstracts from Scientists and Students to make presentations

Note:

• Book of abstracts to be produced
• Publication of full papers in the Journal of Ghana Science Association (JGSA)
• All abstracts should be sent to gsaseminar@gmail.com
• The deadline for submission is 15^th February, 2023.

Best Author (Highest Contributions): Top Three (3)

Best Oral Presenter: Best Three (3)

Best Short Video Presenter: Best Three (5)

Best Poster Presenter: Best Five (5)

 

A certificate of Participation will be issued to those interested at the cost of GHS 200.
